Customizing Ignite
Our beta testers clearly showed us that each person has their own way of working and doing things. As a result of appreciating that everyone is an individual Ignite is an extremely customizable program, and if you find something that doesn't suit your working methods it is likely that it is a changeable default.
Some of the things you can customize are:
- the default settings that control how GIF and JPEG files will be optimize
- split image options
- where the Inspector and Toolbars are located
- a copyright string to save with your images
- file handling
options
- displaying colour values in hex
- The gamma value for to use for previewing images as they will appear on a Mac
- Browser opening and window controls
- HTML options
The options dialog box
The use and placement of all Ignite toolbars and the Inspector is, of course, modifiable to your own preference. However the main core of the customizability of Ignite is the Options Dialog Box. This first screenshot shows the Editing tab giving access to default units, nudge distance, undo steps and aspect ratio. It also shows Split Image options to change the default number of splits when you first split an image.
The outputs tab
Gives further options for the control of your default GIF and JPEG files and how Ignite displays them and handles the optimization. You can even control how your browser does your previewing.
The stored settings dialog box.
This is where you can save settings for your own default GIF files and even make your own preferred settings the default for all new images.
